Hi, I’m Summer!
I fell in love with fitness & nutrition unexpectedly. I was always the small girl. The one who ate whatever she wanted, never got off the couch and made a joke out of the fact that I wasn’t going to exercise, ever.
Everything changed when I had a health scare in 2020 after gaining a large amount of weight. I began exercising (mostly because my doctor told me to), but I was going through the motions. As much cardio as possible, as little food as possible and binging on the weekends. I tried keto, low carb, any diet I could find. I was spinning my wheels and absolutely going nowhere.
In late 2021 I started lifting weights, learned to make more nutritious food choices, learned about the importance of movement outside of structured exercise & completely changed my life. For the first time in my life, I started enjoying exercise! I had no off-limits foods. I was actively making more nutritious food choices and moving mindfully. And I fell in love (I also lost the weight)!
Now my goal is to help my clients learn how to eat for fuel and find the type of movement that they love. I don't just assign calories & workouts; I coach the whole person for their everyday life. We’re all human. We have foods we want to eat and things we want to do. I aim to help my clients meet their health & fitness goals while continuing to live their lives!
I live in Michigan with my husband of 9 years Joe and our two incredibly spoiled puppies. We love hiking, rucking, swimming and just finding any new way to be active outside.
